Membership & Donations

All who live on Lake Sammamish, use the lake for recreation, or simply appreciate this valuable asset of the Puget Sound area are invited to become a member of SLS.

About Donations

Some of our organization’s activities cost money, particularly legal actions and newsletter distribution. Some money is obtained through grants, but these sources are not adequate. Therefore, we depend heavily on membership dues.

Levels of Donation

$25 Individual membership
$40 Family membership
$100 Sponsorship
$250 or more Stewardship
There are no paid officers of the organization so 100% of donations are used to achieve the mission. Many companies have programs for matching employee donations to non-profit organizations such as Save Lake Sammamish. That’s a way to easily double the impact of your donation. Active support of SLS through participation in public forums and environmental actions, and voting for candidates and issues that favor the lake are always encouraged and appreciated.

Other Donation Methods

Seattle Foundation GiveBIG
Online charitable contributions may be made to Save Lake Sammamish through the Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG event, a 24-hour online giving campaign each Spring. Once your donation is processed, you will receive an online thank you from the Seattle Foundation specifying the amount of the donation. This online acknowledgment serves as the official document for claiming a charitable contribution on your IRS tax return since your donation was made directly to the Seattle Foundation on behalf of Save Lake Sammamish. Your donation is fully tax deductible. Dates and instructions for participating in GiveBIG are available in advance of the event.

Amazon Smile
Amazon shoppers may provide support to Save Lake Sammamish when shopping at Amazon Smile, which has the same products, same prices and same service as Amazon. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price on eligible Amazon Smile purchases. Simply log on to Amazon Smile, select Save Lake Sammamish from the charitable organization list, and initiate your purchases.

Microsoft Employee Giving Program
Donations may be made to Save Lake Sammamish utilizing Microsoft’s Employee Giving Program. Donations are matched 100% by Microsoft. Employees should arrange for this tax deductible giving through Microsoft.

Google Employee Giving Program.
Save Lake Sammamish is registered as a charitable organization for GoogleGive. Employees should arrange for this tax deductible giving through Google.
